Employee Assistance Programs

PACFA works with a range of Employee Assistance Program (EAP) providers; allowing PACFA Registrants to provide counselling support to employees across the country.  

Benestar

PACFA has a partnership with one of Australia’s largest employee assistance program providers, Benestar

Benestar has helped over 2.4 million employees and their families over their 30 years in operation, with locations and opportunities available across Australia.

Benestar offers help, support and guidance including individual face to face counselling, critical incident management, performing assessments, or organisational development and training. Working with Benestar offers you the chance to make a big difference to the mental health of people throughout Australia.

To be a provider with Benestar, you must be a clinical member of PACFA and have professional insurances meeting legislative requirements, and hold either a Bachelors or Masters degree.

Access EAP

Professional counselling is a key service offered at Access EAP. They provide extensive coverage via a large Australian and International EAP network. With over 1,000 counsellors available, they guarantee employees will have access to confidential counselling support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Converge International

Converge’s hiring criteria are:

  • Competence and fit for the role (including professional qualifications)
  • Emotional intelligence – the ability to empathise, read a situation and react sensitively
  • Being a “giver” not a “taker” – having a positive, cheerful attitude and the knack of collaborating well with others
  • Coachability – having an openness to learning new things

EAP Assist

Counsellors with Australian tertiary qualifications are eligible to become EAP Assist counselling providers. EAP Assist is one of Australia’s largest Employee Assistance Programs and provides employees with immediate confidential phone counselling support Australia wide.

Eudoxia

Eudoxia will employ counsellors or psychotherapists and each application is considered on its merits based on experience and qualifications. Generally they look for applicants that are degree qualified and have a minimum 5 years’ experience.

Lifeworks (formerly Optum)

LifeWorks by Morneau Shepell is a global provider of Employee Assistance Programs (EAP). We operate nationally through our own offices as well as the offices of our associate counsellors. The counselling we provide is short term, solutions focused.

LifeWorks recruit registered counsellors on a case-by-case basis.  Experience is looked upon favourably, with a minimum of 5 years post qualification experience required. Additionally, Masters level qualifications and registration with PACFA is required.

ACT Curious

Since 2007 ACT Curious has been providing EAP throughout Australia.  We specialise in Counselling, Supervision, Manager Assist, Critical Incident Debrief and Prosocial @ Work Training. 

We recruit experienced counsellors with a minimum 5 years private practice. You may also be an experienced team leader/supervisor and/or specialise in trauma treatment or children and adolescents or drug and alcohol. You know how to treat prevalent anxiety and depression using evidence based therapy and your ideal client is not "the worried well".

Relationships Australia 

PACFA has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Relationships Australia NSW opening up EAP work opportunities exclusively for our members.

PACFA and Relationships Australia NSW collaborated on an initial trial project in which selected Clinical members located in NSW provide employee assistance program (EAP) counselling for the organisation's 130 EAP customers.
