Credly digital badges provide an up-to-date story of a professional’s capabilities, based on verified skills.
Because they are digital, Credly badges can be shared publicly. The new PACFA digital badges will connect to LinkedIn profiles, are shareable on Facebook, and also will be an impressive visual addition to email signatures, websites and promotional materials.
What is Credly?
Credly is a leading digital credential platform which aims to make skills more visible and opportunity more accessible through the ability for the digital badges to not only be a visual, but to also link to information on how the badge was earnt and achieved. What are the benefits for me?
The new digital badges will increase awareness of your PACFA registration, increase understanding of counselling and psychotherapy skills and expertise and they will also enhance the value of PACFA membership/registration.
Representing your skills as a digital badge gives you a way to share your abilities online, providing prospective employers and peers concrete evidence of what you had to do to earn your credential and your capabilities. Credly also offers provision for labour market insights pulled from live job requisitions, to assist in searching and apply for jobs.
How do I earn it?
Digital badges will be sent to you based on your current PACFA registration, including verified skills, colleges and volunteer positions you may hold. As you develop in your professional career within PACFA and specialise in areas of interest, new badges will be made available for you to showcase.
When will I receive my digital badges?
PACFA’s new digital badges will roll out throughout the next 12 months.
Registration badges for Certified Practising Counsellor and Registered Clinical Counsellor are anticipated to be rolled out from 1 July 2024.
To ensure you receive your registration badge, it will be a requirement to complete your renewal for the 24/25 membership year.
Providing our registrants with adequate digital badging is part of PACFA's ongoing service to our registrants to assist in promoting the recognition and respect that you deserve.
