PACFA welcomes more than 100 provisional new graduate members who applied to upgrade from student membership at the end of 2022, and our new student members.
As promised, PACFA fast-tracked provisional new graduate applications so these members were ready for practice with their provisional membership by the end of January.
PACFA’s provisional new graduate category of membership is offered at a 25% discount for the first full year, recognising that counselling and psychotherapy graduates can take time to build a practice or earning capacity within their profession.
This discount is applied pro rata, so, for example, if you upgrade from student membership to provisional new graduate membership in February, a pro rata discount will be applied for your provisional new graduate membership until your membership is due for renewal at the end of June.
When you renew within your first year as a provisional new graduate, the annual discount applies.
Anyone who has completed their counselling/psychotherapy training within 2 years of applying to PACFA is eligible to apply as a provisional new graduate, with its discounted rate.
The provisional new graduate rate is one way that PACFA supports members as they progress through their counselling and psychotherapy career. We also support the growth of the profession by offering free membership to students of counselling and psychotherapy.
