PACFA is excited to announce that ReturnToWorkSA has launched its new Counselling Fee Schedule as part of the Mental Health Fee Schedule launch, effective 1 July 2023. Under this new Fee Schedule, Counsellors can charge up to $162.90 per hour for certain services provided. ReturnToWorkSA’s introduction of the Counselling Fee Schedule aims to clarify the type of services that can be paid for, and the set amount for these services. The fee schedule applies to all work injury claims, whether insured through ReturnToWorkSA or a self-insured employer.
South Australian Counsellors who hold full clinical membership of PACFA and who have completed ReturnToWorkSA’s online module for mental health professionals, ReturnToWorkPsych, are eligible to provide counselling services to workers, to assist in recovery, and to support them to stay at, or return to, work as soon as it is safe for them to do so.
To register to provide Counselling services in the ReturnToWorkSA scheme, please complete and submit the service provider registration form to ReturnToWorkSA, and provide a copy of the following:
The inclusion of Counsellors as part of the ReturnToWorkSA scheme ensures that the skills and expertise of the important Counselling workforce are appropriately recognised and utilised, and makes sure that workers can access a wide variety of services as required, depending on their individual needs and circumstances.
