Opportunity to be a member of a course accreditation panel

28 February 2023

Are you a Clinical member and interested in providing your expertise to advance your profession? We would love to hear from you.

PACFA is seeking expressions of interest for 2023 counselling and psychotherapy course accreditation panels.

As part of PACFA’s self-regulating role for the profession, we assess counselling and psychotherapy courses for PACFA accreditation, with a view to ensuring the safety and quality of counselling and psychotherapy in Australia.

What’s involved?

Members of accreditation panels are usually asked to sit on one accreditation panel per year (two if they have capacity), with a meeting held online once per year and correspondence via email during the course accreditation assessment period. The course accreditation process usually takes 3-6 months.

If you’re interested in providing your expertise to the profession, contact [email protected] with a copy of your CV and availability.

Your knowledge of what is involved in being a practising Clinical counsellor or psychotherapist will make a valuable contribution to assessing education courses for accreditation – and the profession overall.
