PACFA's audit policy: our commitment to community safety

12 February 2024

PACFA is committed to advocating for our registrants as Allied Health Professionals. As part of PACFA's commitment to the National Alliance of Self-Regulating Health Professions (NASRHP). PACFA has introduced a new audit policy to safeguard the integrity of the PACFA Register. Like other allied health professionals, all PACFA registrants are required to participate in an audit process once every three years to ensure that their registration renewal is completed correctly.

Certain registrants were randomly selected to participate in the audit which commenced on 14 February 2024, and were sent emails from PACFA on 25 January 2024 and 6 February regarding this.

Please check your Member Portal to see if you are partaking in the audit and double-check your Junk and Spam folders in case this email may have been misdirected to see if you are partaking in the audit.

If you have been randomly selected to participate in the audit, and completed your renewal as required, no action is necessary.

  • If you have been randomly selected to participate in the audit and uploaded all the information required at the time of your renewal, you can review your previously supplied information by logging into your Member portal.

  • If you have been randomly selected to participate in the audit and did not provide evidence of your CPD and Supervision at the time of renewal, you will need to supply evidence of the CPD and Supervision that you have completed between 1 July 2022 and 30 June 2023.

If you have not already done this, you can do so by logging into your Member portal

  1. Upload evidence of CPD:
  • Go to Member Portal → LOGS → CPD Hours Log
  • Use the Pencil icon to edit the CPD log
  • There is a field to upload attachments

Category A requires attendance certificates. Category B requires reflective review or approximately 150 words to be written and provided as evidence.

For further information, please read the PACFA CPD Standards.

     2. Upload evidence of client contact and supervision records:

  • Go to Member Portal → LOGS → Supervision Log
  • Use the Pencil icon to edit the Supervision log
  • There is a field to upload Attachments.

Evidence of client contact and supervision logs must be signed by your supervisor/s. You can use PACFA's template to have your supervision and client contact signed off by your supervisor.

You can find more information on CPD & Supervision Standards here.

Please note that other registration documents will also be audited during the process, including:

  • Professional indemnity insurance
  • Criminal History Check
  • Working with Children Check (if working with children)

You can review your registration documents and ensure that they are up to date by going to Member Portal → My Documents. All documents required will need to be uploaded to the Member portal by 14 February 2024.

Once the audit has been completed:

  • Registrants who have successfully fulfilled all audit requirements will be formally notified by PACFA
  • Registrants who do not pass PACFA’s audit due to unsatisfactory, incomplete or missing documentation, will be notified via email with instructions regarding next steps.

For more information, please refer to PACFA’s Audit Policy, and email [email protected] with any further questions. Your annual renewal with PACFA represents your commitment to community safety and practitioner accountability.

Thank you for valuing the importance of PACFA’s work for the profession.
