Opportunities to volunteer for PACFA's Australian College of Relationship Counselling (ACRC) Leadership Group have recently arisen. This is an exciting time for those with high expertise and leadership in the field to lead relationship counselling accreditation and the development of PD. Opportunities are currently open to PACFA Registered Clinical and Certified Practising members for the following volunteer positions:
- ACRC Leadership Group Convenor
- ACRC Leadership Group Members (multiple positions available)
The Australian College of Relationship Counsellors (ACRC) is a division of PACFA, dedicated to advancing the practice of relationship counselling in Australia. The ACRC and PACFA raise awareness in the community of the benefits of relationship counselling, and provide representation, support, guidance, professional standards and development for those who practice as relationship counsellors.
To be eligible to serve on the ACRC Leadership Group, members must have 100 hours of specialised counselling training and at least 500 hours of post qualifying client contact hours with relevant clinical supervision by a relationship counsellor. They must also be of good standing within the counselling and psychotherapy profession, be a current PACFA Clinical or Provisional member, and have no conflicts of interest preventing the fulfilment of the Leadership Group role.
Please note that previous Expressions of Interest for the ACRC Leadership Group are still being considered. There is no need to resubmit these EOIs.

Volunteers are vital to the strength of PACFA and are an important part of the organisation’s success. Whether it be serving on a board, committee, interest group, college, branch, or any other PACFA endeavour, the time and effort of volunteers is deeply valued. Volunteering is a powerful way to make a real difference, and PACFA benefits so much from the diversity of voices in our volunteer body.All eligible PACFA leadership volunteers will be able to receive complimentary access to PACFA community online CPD events as of 1 July 2023.
This has been implemented in order to support the maintenance and advancement of leadership volunteers’ professional skills and knowledge, and to recognise their ongoing dedication to PACFA.
