Through a polyvagal lens: nervous system support for counsellors

We can't change the fact that we're into the third year of this pandemic. And we can't change the overwhelmed systems. Or our run-away worries about how we'll continue to manage. But we can take small steps to understand, tune in and act upon what our body needs so that we can get through this time without burning out.

Join us for this practical, informative and immersive workshop to uncover how to apply polyvagal theory and the neuroscience of stress in order to:

  • learn what your body needs in the moment
  • practise how to make space to meet this need
  •  explore a supportive toolkit of body-based, creative arts and music resources, tailored to meet YOUR needs
  • Use these learnings to support yourself and share with your clients
  •

    You will access:

    ·       4 step process to know what you need

    ·       Stepped understanding and some practical applications of polyvagal theory

    ·       Opportunities to ask questions in a supportive environment

    ·       A range of in-the-moment creative arts, music and somatic resources suited to your needs

    ·       A workbook for you to take home and continue your reflection

This workshop is for counsellors and psychotherapists who are looking to create thriving careers without burning out.
