Supporting individuals and families through substance abuse
This presentation will help participants gain a foundational understanding of AOD including how to support clients presenting with these issues.
This PD discusses:

• how support individuals and their loved ones who are at risk or impacted by addiction
• understand the correlation between substance abuse and mental health
• the role of families in addiction
• the role of counsellor

This webinar is suitable for practitioners with no experience in AOD or those wanting to ensure they are using best practice for their clientele.

Presenter: Olivia Jurcik
Olivia is a Clinical Counsellor employed as the Clinical Services Manager for Hader Clinic Queensland, a private organisation specialising in long term treatment for substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health issues. Olivia has worked in AOD for over a decade and has a keen interest in addiction, mental health, and trauma. Olivia has previously volunteered in government funded outpatient counselling programs and residential rehabilitation programs. She prides herself on delivering person-centred care with warmth and empathy to achieve positive outcomes.
