The Map of Meaning
23 April 2024, 6 - 8 pm AEST
28 May 2024, 6 - 6.30 pm AEST
Recording provided to all registrants
At the heart of considerable amount of human suffering is a loss of meaning; something we experience for ourselves and see in those with whom we work.
The Map of Meaning, rigorously researched and tested over the past 23 years, provides a simple yet profound framework that helps us engage directly with issues of meaning and its loss. This event will focus on the significance of meaningfulness to our daily well-being. The Map of Meaning offers a practical, empirically researched framework that helps each person stay grounded in the sources of their own meaning, and also able to make meaning-filled decisions.
In this session two MOMI Certified Practitioners who use the framework in their therapeutic work will lead you through an experience of using the Map of Meaning for yourself. Their work will be supported by the co-author of the books about the Map of Meaning, who is also co-founder of Map of Meaning International.
This is a chance to experience this way of working with meaningfulness and its loss, and explore what it might offer you, and your practice.
Learning to use the Map of Meaning for ourselves helps in self-care, and is the basis for skilful use with clients.
By the end of the session participants will:
- be introduced to the Map of Meaning and seen the relevance of this to their own experience of self care.
- have a way to use the Map to help them make decisions that support their resilience and well-being
- have a sense of how the Map of Meaning could be useful in their practice with clients.
Webinar presenters will discuss case studies, and take participants through experiential exercises.
