Be Here Now - A Gestalt Immersive Retreat

During the three-day gestalt retreat, participants will engage in comprehensive learning experiences, including the exploration of voice dialogue techniques, experimenting with various therapeutic approaches, and utilizing metaphors to deepen client understanding. 

The retreat will also include an integrated field theory approach, emphasizing the interconnectedness of personal experiences and environmental factors, fostering a holistic approach to therapy, enhancing participants' skills in facilitating transformative client sessions.

Participants will gain new skills and experience a number of Gestalt techniques that they can incorporate into their own life as well as their client work. 

Therapeutic techniques and methods of working with clients in therapy sessions throughout the Gestalt Retreat will be: 

• The Use of Experiments in the Counselling session 
• The use of Metaphor and Imagery when working with clients
• Working with the shadow – the introduction to parts theory
• Field Theory and the use of figure and ground in the therapy session, plus Group Dynamics

Presenter/s:

Philip Oldfield (B.A. Sociology, GANZ Clinical Member) Phil has been a Gestalt Trainer with Terrigal Gestalt Institute and Sydney Gestalt Institute for many years. He works in private practice in Surry Hills, seeing private clients, training and supervising counsellors and Psychotherapists, conducting training programs for government departments, hospitals, community organisations and businesses. 

Tamika Dwight-Scott (Masters Gestalt Psychotherapy, PACFA accredited Supervisor and Trainer, Meditation and Mindfulness Teacher, Clinical member PACFA). Tamika is a Psychotherapist, Facilitator and Trainer who is passionate about supporting others via personal counselling, training and retreats.  

This course counts towards 23 hours of category A CPD.
