Reminder to PACFA Members – Insurance & First Aid Requirements

It’s a busy time of year for everyone and PACFA is here to support our members with all your requirements for ongoing professional practice.

Make Sure Your Insurance Is Up-To-Date

For all our members who have taken out Professional Indemnity Insurance through PACFA. Your insurance cover will not be maintained unless you renew by 31 July each year.

Insurance House give members one month’s grace to renew to give members time to pay. The membership staff need to lodge the list of up-to-date members by 1 August.

Many members are renewing at the end of July so please make sure you renew in plenty of time to ensure we have your renewal information to pass on to Insurance House.

First Aid Qualifications

A current  HLTAID003 Provide First Aid certificate is required to obtain a provider number through Private Health Funds that recognise PACFA members. With some of the restrictions under the COVID-19 pandemic response being lifted, many First Aid Providers are now offering courses again and Private Health Funds will expect providers to hold current First Aid certificates from as early as September this year.

We recently shared the good news that PACFA members can now access discounted First Aid training through the Red Cross at locations all around Australia. You can book into a public course at a Red Cross training venue and receive 10% off the RRP, by entering your discount code at the time of purchasing.

However, your discount code can be applied to any of the First Aid training provided through the Red Cross.

Simply register for your first aid course by clicking here and entering the code sent to you by email on June 1st 2020.
