Queensland Counsellors Association to form new PACFA Branch

Queensland Counsellors Association (QCA) voted on the weekend to commence work to become part of PACFA structurally. This will involve QCA members transferring to individual PACFA membership and forming the new Queensland Branch of PACFA.

This is an exciting change as it will mean PACFA will have Branches in all states and territories and  stronger presence in Queensland. The addition of a Queensland Branch of PACFA will strengthen PACFA as a united national peak body and professional associations for counselling and psychotherapy in Australia.

The PACFA CEO, Maria Brett, and the QCA President, Maree Armansin, will commence discussions in September on the process for QCA members to transfer to PACFA and to prepare for the formation of the new Queensland Branch.

PACFA looks forward to welcoming QCA members to PACFA.
