Psychotherapy & Counselling Today launched

The first edition of PACFA’s professional journal, Psychotherapy & Counselling Today, has been published and is on its way to PACFA members by post!

This is very exciting news as the new publication is expected to make a major contribution to the psychotherapy and counselling profession in Australia by providing high quality scholarship on a wide range of contemporary topics relevant to professional practice.

Psychotherapy & Counselling Today is a non peer-reviewed professional journal, in printed magazine format, which aims to provide PACFA members and a broader reading audience with stimulating and informative reading on psychotherapy and counselling in Australia. The publication will be of value to practitioners, educators, researchers and students to support ongoing professional learning.

The inaugural edition includes feature articles, book reviews, reflections on practice, and dedicated sections on Ethics and Comment.

Thank you to the Guest Editor, Dr Stephen Andrew, and to all authors for contributing to the first edition of Psychotherapy & Counselling Today. Thank you also to the Manager Editor, Maria Brett for getting this exciting new initiative off the ground, and to Julia Bilecki for the beautiful design on the journal.

Psychotherapy & Counselling Today is an opportunity for readers to learn and reflect, and to enhance their professional development, but also for aspiring authors with an interest in getting their work published to contribute to future editions. Readers are invited to consider submitting articles to admin@pacfa.org.au.

The journal is a free membership benefit for all PACFA members. Others can purchase the first edition at the PACFA Portal.
