On Friday 29 September, PACFA President Nigel Polak and CEO Johanna de Wever met with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Chair, Natalie Bailey, and CEO, Anna Daroy, face-to-face in Sydney.
Over lunch in the Royal Botanic Gardens, the group enjoyed a three-hour conversation covering a wide range of topics relevant to the counselling and psychotherapy workforces in both countries.
During the conversation, BACP and PACFA were pleased to discuss numerous and varied areas of shared interest, including the Scope of Practice and Education (SCoPEd) framework, which provides significant clarity for counsellors and psychotherapists in the UK.
It is exciting to reconnect the two organisations, and PACFA looks forward to remaining in regular contact and further enhancing its relationship with BACP moving forward.
