Update your PACFA records: Indigenous identifier options added for members

10 October 2023

In response to a request from PACFA’s College of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Healing Practices (CATSIHP), PACFA has added a field to our member records with an option to indicate a member's Indigenous status. This will allow members to record themselves in this way, and PACFA encourages members to log on to their PACFA portal and update their records as appropriate.

This change, driven by CATSIHP, allows members to choose to identify as First Nations Aboriginal, First Nations both Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, or as First Nations Torres Strait Islander. The options of “Neither” and “Prefer not to say” are also available.

At this point, this information is not publicly accessible, and is only available within PACFA’s internal records to be shared with CATSIHP.
