The International Association for Counselling (IAC)—the world body for the counselling profession—has provided PACFA with a member update, sharing an international perspective on news and events.
This month, stories include the humanitarian disaster in Malawi; The IAC’s partnership with LivingWorks to promote suicide prevention on an international scale; practical advice on how to design your therapeutic space; and the ‘coming of age’ of coaching in the United Kingdom, where the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) has published of a framework of coaching competences for therapists who also coach.
As Level 2 members of the IAC, PACFA is committed to playing our part in its ongoing efforts to integrate counselling policy, expertise and excellence worldwide.
