Nominations close 24 September for PACFA Board positions

Nominations for the PACFA Board positions of President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Counselling Representative and Psychotherapy Representative are open, and close at 11.59pm on 24 September, 2022.

To be eligible, members have at least two years’ experience of PACFA through involvement in the PACFA Council, a PACFA Committee or a PACFA Working Party, or through serving on the executive of a PACFA Member Association or the Leadership Group of a PACFA Division or Sub-division.

Under the PACFA Constitution nominees must also meet the following requirements:

  • President: Nominees must be a current member of the PACFA Board

  • Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer: Nominees must be eligible for PACFA clinical registration and of good standing within the counselling and psychotherapy profession

  • Counselling Representative: Nominees must be qualified counsellors who are eligible for PACFA clinical registration and of good standing within the counselling profession

  • Psychotherapy Representative: Nominees must be qualified psychotherapists who are eligible for PACFA clinical registration and of good standing within the psychotherapy profession

Nominations must be signed by the nominee and one other eligible member (meeting the criteria above) acting as nominator.

Nominees may be nominated for more than one Board position but can hold only one position on the Board and must fill out a separate nomination form for each position.

Voting will open to eligible members on 28 September 2022 and close on 5 October. Results will be announced at the PACFA AGM on 8 October 2022.
