Jalngangurru Healing

05 October 2022

Read about the Jalngangurru Health Project in the Kimberley region of Western Australia, which is connecting patients with Indigenous Healing Practices.

Developed in consultation with healers and through guidance provided by existing cultural healing services, the program has seen a huge rise in demand from across the country.

Practised by Aboriginal people in the Kimberley for thousands of years, Jalngangurru Healing involves a variety of healing practices, including the use of bush medicinal products, smoking of woods and leaves, the use of ochre and ceremonial songs, palliative care and child and maternal health.
