Run by Dr Catherine Hungerford in conjunction with the Cairnmillar Institute, the Mental Health Short Course aims to build practitioners’ skills and competencies around mental health and mental illness.
The course consists of 4 modules of approximately 2 hours each: mental health and illness; mental health assessment; mental health interventions; and consumer-centred models of care and ethical questions.

Participants work through each module in their own time over a two-week period, and will have access to the online learning platform Moodle, where they can connect with other participants and Catherine.
Each course has a maximum of 15 participants. For PACFA members, the course counts as 8 hours of Category A continuing professional development (CPD).
