Join our Education Program Accreditation Committee (EPAC)

The Education Program Accreditation Committee (EPAC) is responsible for PACFA’s accreditation of education and training programs in psychotherapy and counselling.

Participating in the PACFA accreditation process is an excellent way to contribute to the high quality of counselling and psychotherapy training, through discussion of standards, workforce development and confidential assessment.

PACFA members can participate in EPAC in two ways:

  • By joining the committee as a member
  • By participating on an accreditation panel

Being a committee member involves overseeing applications; reviewing and developing guidelines, policies, and procedures; and providing expert advice on PACFA’s course accreditation requirements and processes. EPAC meetings are usually held via Zoom.

If selected to participate on a panel, you will be matched with an experienced panellist to help you assess academic pedagogy and implementation. Participation is also an opportunity to build well-regarded academic experience. Participating in accreditation panels involves a half or full day per panel, currently operating via Zoom.

To take advantage of this opportunity, you will need to be a PACFA member and complete the EOI
