The Annual Report includes an overview of PACFA’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, our advocacy for professional recognition for counsellors and psychotherapists, the achievements of PACFA’s committees, and our professional development program and our publications. The report also highlights the establishment of PACFA’s new College of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Healing Practices (CATSIHP) and the achievements of the Psychotherapy Working Party to advance psychotherapy as a distinct profession. There is also a snapshot of our membership, which continues to grow, and the financial results for 2019/2020 which show PACFA achieving a healthy surplus despite the challenges of the pandemic.

The report acknowledges the significant contribution of 111 volunteers, as well as the PACFA staff and consultants, who have all contributed to a very successful year in which we continued to advance PACFA’s mission. PACFA looks forward to another successful year in 2020/21.
