Ethics – New Draft Professional Conduct Procedures

At the 2014 Annual General Meeting, the Chair of Ethics, Dr Elizabeth Riley, presented a Draft Working Document for PACFA’s Professional Conduct Procedures. PACFA’s procedures were out of date and required urgent review.

Council approved the new Professional Conduct Procedures as a Draft Working Document. The draft is still to be reviewed by an external consultant but in the meantime it is available at the PACFA website.  PACFA will commence using the Draft Professional Conduct Procedures 2014 immediately to help improve our handling of ethical complaints.

The Professional Conduct Procedures used to be part of PACFA’s Code of Ethics but as this document was too long and therefore difficult to use, the procedures have been moved to a separate document.

Download the Draft Professional Conduct Procedures 2014.

The rest of the Code of Ethics has also been separated into two documents, with separate codes for PACFA Registrants and for PACFA Member Associations:

  • PACFA Code of Ethics (for Registrants)
  • PACFA Code of Good Governance (for Member Associations)

Member Associations can still provide feedback on the Draft Professional Conduct Procedures 2014. Please send any feedback to the CEO, maria.brett@pacfa.org.au.
