ARCAP Media release imageAustralian Register of Counsellors and Psychotherapists

In 2011, PACFA formed a partnership with the another peak body for the counselling and psychotherapy profession, the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) and together we have established the Australian Register of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (ARCAP).

ARCAP provides robust self-regulation of the profession, along with PACFA’s and ACA’s professional training standards, codes of ethics and complaints handling processes.

Registrants listed on the PACFA and ACA National Registers are also listed on the ARCAP under various ARCAP registration categories.

ARCAP Counsellors  and Psychotherapists have demonstrated that they meet the required training and ethical standards and that they undertake professional supervision and professional development activitites annually.  They have experience supporting clients from diverse communities and are located in all States and Territories of Australia.
