Working with Polarities using Voice Dialogue

[4-day Training intensive for Counsellors – Level 1]

Presenter: Zohar Berchik

Stemming from the Jungian tradition, Voice Dialogue provides a vehicle for deeper exploration and an often-energising consolidation of our inner worlds. It offers a device through which to gently access the parts of our selves that have been missing from our story of wholeness and welcome them into our broader experience. The approach provides a safe and gentle way to expand awareness and deepen self-understanding, often providing emergent answers to complex questions or inner conflict.

This four-day foundational training intensive for counsellors and other helping professionals, will introduce and showcase the theory and phenomenology of this method. Through a series of discussions, videos, exercises, demonstrations and gentle experiential-processes, participants will learn about Voice Dialogue and its approach to personification and working with polarities. They will be invited to explore their own parts or ‘voices’, learn how to access and work with opposing aspects of self and be provided with opportunities to experiment with Voice Dialogue facilitation. Emphasis will be placed on the importance of the counsellor/facilitator’s own personal process when working within this paradigm.
