Replenish – Soulful Retreats for Therapists

A 2.5 day retreat designed to support you as a therapist

Replenish, a soulful retreat for therapists is a retreat offered to therapists to increase their skill set as well as experience and explore the whole concept of self care. 

The objectives of this retreat are to: 

  • Allow participants to take stock of their present professional and personal situation. This will include things like, work load expectations, vicarious trauma, toxicity of work environment, processing and addressing counter transference issues, boundaries, support and supervision and balancing work and life.
  • Offer clinical component to the participants where they will learn skills in –
  • Neuroplasticity
  • Gestalt techniques
  • Using visualisation and mindfulness techniques when working with clients
  • The impact of stress on the body – Flight, Flight or Freeze
  • Allow time and space to explore physical, emotional cognitive and spiritual needs and reflecting if these needs are being met, whilst dealing with the demands, challenges and the long-term side effects of being a therapist.
  • Learn, explore and experience the benefits of meditation and yoga each day, allowing them to have an embodied experience of calming their body down and tapping into the parasympathetic nervous system.
  • Provide participants with practical and doable self care tools and strategies they can take home to apply to their daily work and life. The self care techniques applied and learned at this retreat, will enable the therapist to maintain the integrity and enjoyment of their work in spite of the challenges they might be facing.
  • Offer group connection, peer and group supervision, support from others, down time as well as psycho educational components. 

This event counts as 20 hours of category A CPD for PACFA’s membership renewal requirements.
