Reflective Practice & Self Care Workshop

Protect You and your team from stress, overwhelm and burnout. Learn the difference between joining versus merging with your clients/students. Come and join us for this unique, dynamic and experimental workshop.

Despite the best of intentions from most organisations, educational/ institutions, counsellors, case managers, youth practitioners, police officers and social workers they are not immune to the impact of stress and trauma. Unfortunately, many passionate, well-intentioned and skilled practitioner’s slowly and sadly burnout. This is not a reflection of their capacity but the result of not understanding how stress affects our bodies, not just our minds.
Reflective practice and Self Care Workshops are geared to protect, inform and empower professionals in the field that are working with dis-regulation, stress and trauma.

Workshop outline:

  • Learn to track your own nervous system and self-regulate- Embodied Advocacy
  • The importance of self-care
  • Create healthy Boundaries
  • Join your clients where they are at rather than merge
  • The group is facilitated by 2 highly experienced educators that are Youth Counsellors, Family Therapists, Gestalt Therapy & Somatic Psychotherapists, and Counselling Supervisor

The workshop will be filled with theory, self-inquiry, experiential learning that supports both professional and personal development.
