Psychodynamic Skills Training

Mandala Community Counselling is a volunteer run counselling service that provides high quality, low cost counselling to disadvantaged people in Sydney. Over a time frame of 45 hours over eight Saturday’s using face to face training, video, online classroom and readings, combined with practical skills training, students will receive training in the Psychodynamic modality. Successful graduates will then commit to two clients per week on a voluntary basis, with fortnightly supervision over a two year period.

Clinical experience & supervision Trainees who pass the theory component will begin seeing clients and join a supervision group. Times of counselling (2 hrs per week) are open to negotiation, according to availability of premises. Supervision group times (2 – 3 hrs per fortnight) are by negotiation with the Clinical Supervisor and the group. This equates to over 180 hours of supervised counselling experience.

This event counts as 20 hours of category A CPD for PACFA’s membership renewal requirements.
