Postgraduate Training Course in Clinical Hypnosis

Available nationally March – November 2020. Combination of online study and Face-to-Face Training Days

Presenters: Dr Barry J. Evans and Dr Diane McGreal

The course is designed for all health and mental health professionals registered with AHPRA and the ARCP. You will begin using clinical hypnosis with your clients early in training – to maximise learning and use within your clinical practice.

♦ Learn the basics of hypnosis by completing online modules – at your convenience in your office or home – complete with homework exercises to help you develop your skills.
♦ Attend five F2F (face-to-face) Training Days to further develop your skills in a collegial student environment. Attend one additional day for case presentations to complete the course.
♦ Undertake small group supervision and complete the assessment process to be awarded the Society’s Diploma in Clinical Hypnosis.

Online Material: Dr Barry Evans PhD, MA was a Senior Lecturer in Psychology at Monash University before moving to the Department of Psychiatry at The University of Melbourne in 2002. He has written three books on clinical hypnosis and has taught clinical hypnosis since 1986. He was Editor of the Australian Journal of Clinical and Experimental Hypnosis in the 1990s.
Face-to-Face Instructor: Dr Diane McGreal PhD, MEdPsych, DipClinHypn is a Psychologist with 30 years’ experience as a counsellor and psychotherapist. She uses clinical hypnosis with clients regularly and has also taught clinical hypnosis in many settings. She recently conducted clinical hypnosis training with Clinical Psychologists in Hong Kong and has presented at national and international congresses of hypnosis. Dianne presents regularly on matters relating to personal wellbeing in the media and at community forums.

* Number of Hours learning is  approximately 120 hours, comprising online Training Modules; face-to-face supervision; homework exercises; and follow-up presentation. ONLY 20 hours is required for category A CPD for PACFA ’s renewal membership renewal requirements for 2019-2020 and 20 hours for 2020 – 2021.
