Logotherapy: Viktor Frankl’s Legacy for Counselling and Psychotherapy Interactive Webinar

Presenter: Dr Paul McQuillan

Logotherapy, like life, is paradoxical. The work of Viktor Frankl is both well known in general but little known in detail.

Man’s Search for Meaning has been read by millions (5 million copies in English and translations into 24 languages) yet few have engaged with the key foundations of Frankl‘s work, his concept of the human being and the philosophy of life that provide the foundation for his logotherapy. The concepts are explained in more detail in less popular works: The Doctor and the Soul, On the Theory and Therapy of Mental Disorders and The Will to Meaning.

This presentation will aim to connect Frankl’s founding principles for psychotherapy with the numerous approaches that have adopted some of his insights and made them their own.

Presenter: Paul McQuillan Ph D, PsyD is a Family and Relationship Counsellor with Anglicare SQ in Brisbane and Consultant Coordinator of Research activities with Brisbane Catholic Education. He is a Member of the Viktor Frankl Institute (Vienna), a Faculty Member of the Viktor Frankl Institute (USA), an Honorary Fellow of Australian Catholic University and an adjunct Senior Lecturer at University of Southern Queensland.

He teaches the Advanced Course in Logotherapy, endorsed by the PACFA as a specialist training for registered counsellors. The course is offered online and face to face and boasts graduates worldwide.
