Presented by: Simon d’Orsogna

Coherence Therapy is a focused, experiential approach unifying a set of methods and concepts for consistently dispelling symptoms at their roots. The Therapeutic Reconsolidation framework holds that non-conscious, adaptive emotional learning requires and maintains the presenting symptom. Working with couples and families with trauma requires phase-oriented approaches establishing relational safety ahead of deeper and more vulnerable work. Often this means alternating between single client sessions and dyadic/systemic family work, sometimes with the support of the partner-family in the room. The coherent, symptom-necessitating themes and purposes are the emotional truth of the symptom — the passionate-compelling of how the symptom is actually necessary to have.
