Short Courses

To support the ongoing professional development of practitioners, PACFA has developed three online courses on key issues of relevance to therapeutic practice.

Mental Health Course

Run by Catherine Hungerford in conjunction with the Cairnmillar Institute, this 8 hour online course aims to build practitioners’ skills and competencies to support clients with their mental health.  For PACFA Registrants, the course counts as 8 hours of training towards their annual Continuing Professional Development requirement.

Practical Ethics for Counsellors and Psychotherapists

Run in conjunction with the Cairnmillar Institute, this 6 hour course is offered as a face-to-face workshop and as an online course. The course aims to develop practical skills to work with ethical issues in counselling or psychotherapy practice.  For PACFA Registrants, the course counts as 6 hours of training towards their annual Continuing Professional Development requirement.

Providing therapy using online technology

Run by Fiona Griffith and Nigel Polak, this course prepares practitioners to work ethically when they move towards delivering counselling or psychotherapy using online technologies. For PACFA Registrants, the course counts as 8 hours of training towards their annual Continuing Professional Development requirement.
