Advocacy and Communications Coordinator – Re-advertised

PACFA is recruiting a full-time Advocacy and Communications Coordinator to work closely with the CEO to implement a range of campaigns aimed at increasing professional recognition and employment opportunities for counsellors and psychotherapists, and to improve communications with our stakeholders and members.

Psychotherapy Liaison Consultant

PACFA is seeking expressions of interests for a psychotherapist to be engaged as a Consultant to support the work of PACFA’s Psychotherapy Working Party.

The Psychotherapy Liaison Consultant will research and map psychotherapy training options, consult psychotherapy training providers around their process for psychotherapy training to inform the development of new standards for the formation of psychotherapists, support training providers to get accreditation of their courses or to develop new training programs for the formation of psychotherapists. The Consultant will also assess other psychotherapists for recognition by PACFA’s College of Psychotherapy.

Volunteers for Professional Conduct Panels

PACFA is  calling for experienced practitioners with an interest in ethics to join PACFA’s Professional Conduct Panel (PCP), which is list of people available to sit on complaint panels. PACFA is interested in building up the number of practitioners on the PCP list so that volunteers would be asked to sit on a Panel no more than once a year.

Volunteer Mediators to mediate in PACFA complaints

PACFA’s complaints procedure now includes mediation as a possible first step in the resolution of a complaint. The PACFA Ethics Committee is inviting Expressions of Interest (EOI) from practitioners who do mediation (preferably with some qualifications and/or experience in mediation) and who are interested in mediating complaints for PACFA on a voluntary basis.
