Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Healing Practices

The College of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Healing Practices (CATSIHP) was established in October 2019 as a forum to support members and to advance their professional interests.

The core aim of CATSHIP is to provide leadership, representation and advocate and promote self-determination, cultures, values and belief systems of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples through increasing access to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander healers and practitioners and improving health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Vision: The College of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Healing Practitioners will foster development of collaborative dialogue, working relationships in recognition, respect and significance of Indigenous healing practices. 

Aim: The aim of the CATSIHP is to support, develop and accredit Indigenous Healing Practices, by supporting development and delivery of accredited Indigenous Healing programs and culturally grounded healing practices.

Purpose: The purpose of CATSIHP is to support development of a skilled qualified workforce with skills and capacity to progress Indigenous Healing Practices.
