Provisional and Clinical Listing

If you are a member of a PACFA Member Association, and have the required training, supervision and experience to meet the Register Requirements, you can apply to be listed on the PACFA National Register via your Member Association.

  • Provisional Registrants have met all training and supervised practice requirements for provisional listing = 40 hours client contact linked to 10hours of supervision. Provisional Registrants have not yet completed the additional post-training supervised practice hours required for clinical listing. Once these practitioners complete the required supervised practice hours, they will be eligible for clinical listing.
  • Clinical Registrants have met the requirements for provisional listing and have also completed the additional supervised practice requirements for clinical listing = 750 post-qualifying client contact hours linked to 75 hours of post-qualifying supervision over a minimum of two years.

Grandfathering Arrangements

Grandfathering arrangements apply in limited circumstances for Applicants you completed training under the former PACFA Training Standards (2014). The final cut-off date for the grandfathering scheme is 31/12/2023.

Member Association Endorsement

Your application requires endorsement by your Member Association. Once we receive your PACFA registration application, we will contact your nominated Member Association to request their endorsement of your application.

If you do not belong to a Member Association you will need to join. For details, go to the Member Associations page.

Online Applications

Applications are made online. The application fee is not refundable so please check your eligibility carefully before applying. For details of the application fee, see the Schedule of Fees. To join PACFA and list on the PACFA register go to the PACFA Member Portal and make sure you select the Application that is most relevant to you.
