Solace Grief Support Group WA Inc is a national organisation for people grieving the death of their spouse, partner, fiancée.

“Diversity in Grief” Conference & Dinner

Date:     Tuesday 6th September 2022 
Time: 8am (registration) for 8:30am start
Conference closes 4.30pm. Optional dinner 6:30pm
Venue: Ingot Hotel, 285 Great Eastern Highway, Belmont
Conference Cost:  $140 per person (registrations close 5th August)
$120 (Early Bird) (registrations close 29th July) 
$110 Solace Current Financial Members
$95 Student 
(includes morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea)
Dinner Cost: $70 per person (which includes 3 course meal, tea and coffee) Alcohol and soft drinks are not included

The aim of this conference is to inform, educate and provide a pathway for understanding the grief process and its impact from varying cultural perspectives.

Advocating how diet, nutrition, exercise and lifestyle will improve both mental and physical wellbeing.

Imam Kamran Mubashir Tahir -Missionary of the Worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.
Presentation "Islamic teachings on how to deal with the demise of a loved one"

Emeritus Rabbi David Freilich OAM - Of the Perth Hebrew Congregation.
An insight into the Jewish traditions, customs and rituals following the death of a loved one.

Noongar Yamatji Sharon Wood-Kenney – Inductee WA Women’s Hall of Fame 2019 – Co-design Community Engagement Consultant. 
Presentation on Aboriginal cultural sensitivity and appropriate methods when dealing with death.

Dinner Guest Speaker:

Lyn Foreman OAM – Inductee WA Women’s Hall of Fame 2022
Former State and National Champion Hurdler
Lyn will talk about her athletic career, her coaching and life after the death of her husband.
