It's really common for people who are in relationships to not have learnt how to: ask for what they want; say no; or negotiate or talk about sex in any way. Teaching people these foundational communication skills is essential before we get onto the more intricate topics of talking about sex.
Learning Objectives
• How to set up safety for clients
• Learn to facilitate difficult conversations around sex and intimacy in relationships
• When shame comes into the room
• Teaching effective ways to have a ‘fight’
• Celebrating difference and working with the overlap
• Working with all relationship types – monogamous, polyamorous, open, BDSM, LGBTQIA++
Presenter: Tanya Koens
Tanya has run a busy practice in Sydney for almost 20 years and works across many different presenting concerns and client bases. Tanya is known for her ability to give language to tricky topics; her inclusive, kind approach; and her understanding of how sex and sexuality affects many areas of people's lives. She is a passionate pleasure activist and works with people to improve their communication, relationships and sex lives.
This course counts towards 16 hours of category A CPD.
