POST-GRADUATE CLINICAL HYPNOSIS TRAINING

The Post-Graduate Clinical hypnosis Training is a fully online course, consisting of online modules (including Homework Exercises) and In-Person or Zoom interactive training sessions.

The objective of the course is to train Graduates in health and mental health disciplines in the theory and practice of clinical hypnosis and especially how to integrate clinical hypnosis techniques into their professional activities. The course is available to Psychologists, Counsellors, Medical Professionals and Dentists and other professionals registered with AHPRA.

Online modules cover: theory of hypnosis; inductions and de-inductions, assessment of hypnotic capacity, contraindications to trance and dealing with problems that may arise in its use, direct and indirect scripts, phenomena of trance especially rehearsal in trance, post-hypnotic suggestions, ego-strengthening, how to integrate hypnosis with anxiety disorders, habits, trauma, pain and special applications with children and adults.

There are five training supervision days, each of 5 hours duration, involving discussion of hypnotic techniques in clinical settings and practice in script-writing across relevant disciplines.

PRESENTERS:

Barry J. Evans PhD was a Senior Lecturer in the Psychology Dept Monash University and the Dept of Psychiatry, University of Melbourne. He is a Former President of the Australian Society of Hypnosis and a trainer in clinical hypnosis 1986-present.

Diane McGreal PhD is a Psychologist in private practice. Currently Secretary of the Australian Society of Hypnosis. She is a noted trainer in clinical hypnosis and presents regular training for the Society.
