rescue package is not restricted to a limited
group of professionals, but encompasses well
trained frontline counselling and psychotherapy
professionals who have high acceptability to

Dr Margot Schofield is
Chief Investigator on an Australian Research
Council Linkage Grant awarded to the University
of New England, in collaboration with Dr Andrew
Bickerdike of Relationships Australia Victoria.
The project seeks to evaluate the short and
long-term effectiveness of couple counselling
over the next three years:
