Member Congress

The Member Congress is the peak governing body for PACFA.

Individual members of PACFA and members of PACFA Member Associations who meet the PACFA Professional Standards having voting rights on the PACFA Member Congress.

In addition, PACFA Board Members and Committee Chairs have voting rights on the Member Congress.

The role of the Member Congress is to:

  • Conduct the Annual General Meetings and Special General Meetings of PACFA
  • Elect six key members of the PACFA Board (President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Psychotherapy Representative and Counselling Representative)
  • Approve constitutional changes
  • Provide a forum to inform and consult members on key issues relating to PACFA’s mission

Member Congress Meetings

The Member Congress meets annually (with the option for electronic participation).

The first meeting of the Member Congress will take place in October 2016.
