The New South Wales Branch Professional Development event ‘The Benefits of a Horizontal Perspective’ has been cancelled due to unanticipated circumstances.
We apologise for any inconvenience this cancellation may have caused and instead invite you to come a long for presentations from Jo Frasca and Tricia Dearden.

Jo Frasca – An Object in Therapeutic Space
In this presentation, Jo will explore the pros and cons of not only the intentional, but the unintentional inclusion of an animal, and various other seemingly benign items in the therapeutic space.
While these are frequently controversial and non-erroneous practices they can often be used to elicit powerful and useful information for the clinician.
Jo will use both theory and clinical vignettes to portray both usefulness and caution in this arena.

Tricia Dearden
Tricia Dearden has been working in the community sector for the past 20 years. She has worked with people with disabilities in a number of roles and in mental health education and support. For the past 5 years Tricia has been working as a counsellor with the NSW Post Adoption Resource Centre, part of the Benevolent Society.  Her presentation will focus on the impact of adoption.
