The Mindful Way to Fostering Compassion and Preventing Carer Fatigue and Vicarious Stress
Presented by Dr Craig Hassed

Mindfulness is a form of meditation and a way of living. It has many applications and a significant body of research supporting its use for fostering good mental and physical health. For therapists, one important application is in how it can help to enhance compassion and at the same time reduce the carer fatigue and vicarious stress associated with being a frequent witness to the distress of others.

This practical and interactive workshop will explore some practical mindfulness-based ways to do this.

Refreshments at 6:30pm, Presentation at 7:00pm.
