Three Diverse Workshops

This event includes three workshops.  

Grief and Loss presented by the Canberra Grief Centre– Mandy Cox and Sonia Fenwick
Mandy is a trained Spiritual Director and professional member of Wellspring, Australian Centre for Grief and Bereavement. She has worked in the area of grief, loss and trauma since 2006.
Her experience resides in palliative care, maternal loss, victim support, domestic violence and coronial counselling. Eleven years living in the Northern Territory allowed her opportunity to support people from various cultural and ethnic backgrounds. She has a special interest in providing holistic care focusing on the emotional as well as spiritual wellbeing of a person.

Since 2002, Sonia has been supporting people and organisations who have been affected by death, dying, grief and bereavement. Sonia’s long association with the Australian Defence Force has led to her special interest in the provision of grief support to Defence members and their families.
Sonia is committed to ensuring services offered by Canberra Grief Centre support men who are affected by grief. In addition, her commitment extends to the provision of support services for professionals who are affected by a death/multiple deaths or accumulated exposure to death while operating in a professional capacity.

Body Work in Psychotherapy from a Process Work Perspective  – Dr Chrisina Nielsen
Christina is a qualified and passionate holistic therapist who has worked for over 30 years and has synthesized a mix of Counselling, Psychotherapy, Anthroposophic and Traditional Chinese Medicine in her practice. Her interest in the human condition and belief that the traditional Western methods of viewing patients provides an incomplete picture, fuels her ongoing study in universities around the world.

Receiving: Adapted Techniques from Psychodrama—Willi Boettcher
Willi is a Registered Mental Health Nurse who runs Groups for an acute psychiatric inpatient unit at Canberra Hospital. Willi is a firm believer that the role of ‘Creative Genius’ is in all people; as was first expressed by Dr Jacob Moreno, the founder of Psychodrama. To bring forth this role is the purpose of the groups she has been running for the past 12 months.
